Proclinical is seeking a Senior Scientist for Drug Product Manufacturing. This role focuses on the development and manufacturing of pharmaceutical products, including small molecules and peptides. The successful candidate will play a key role in continuous improvement and lifecycle management of new chemical entities and commercial products.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee clinical manufacturing operations and ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines.
  • Implement and monitor manufacturing and packaging of clinical batches for studies.
  • Manage subcontractor relationships, including contracts and performance monitoring.
  • Collaborate with quality assurance teams to review batch records and manage quality events.
  • Ensure timely availability of necessary documents, such as protocols and reports.
  • Present project results and progress in internal meetings.
  • Support formulation and process teams in developing new formulations and scaling up manufacturing processes.
  • Optimize service interfaces with analytical development and global supply chain teams.
  • Represent manufacturing in CMC project meetings and ensure alignment with CMC Lead.
  • Coordinate internal meetings for clinical campaign preparation and monitoring.
  • Maintain regulatory oversight and develop a network of subcontractors.
  • Ensure adherence to Quality, Hygiene, Safety, and Environment rules.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement projects and promote improvement approaches.

Key Skills and Requirements:

  • Background in pharmacy, engineering, or science, ideally with a PhD.
  • Proficiency in English for effective communication.
  • Solid experience with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
  • Strong communication and project management skills.
  • Experience in managing contract development and manufacturing organizations (CDMOs).
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a matrix environment.
  • Strong organizational skills.
