Senior Account Manager - Permanent - North Carolina (Remote with Travel)

Proclinical is seeking a dedicated individual for the role of Senior Account Manager in the life sciences industry. This is a remote permanent position based in North Carolina.

Primary Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will be responsible for sales and account management within the assigned territory, focusing on our multiomics and synthetic biology portfolio. This role is crucial in maintaining customer relations, identifying growth opportunities and ensuring market penetration and profitability.

Skills & Requirements:

  • A Bachelor's Degree is a necessity and this must be in a relevant field.
  • Commercial experience in Biology.
  • Strong understanding of the Genomics industry and familiarity with common lab techniques.
  • Proven track record of success in account management and driving revenue growth.
  • Demonstrated history of devising and implementing successful strategies.
  • Negotiation skills, both in written and oral communication.
  • Proficiency in CRM tools such as Salesforce and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Must have a valid driver's license. Ability to routinely travel to RTP area of North Carolina as needed via either car and/or mass transit.

The Senior Account Manager's responsibilities will be:

  • Manage sales and account activities for all assigned locations, defining and driving sales strategies.
  • Develop and implement territory development plans, coordinating resources to drive team selling.
  • Utilize consultative selling techniques to add value and address specific customer needs.
  • Consistently exceed sales targets by proactively building and managing a robust sales pipeline.
  • Provide forecasts, weekly reports, marketing intelligence and information to managers and other stakeholders.
  • Maintain long-term client relationships through successful account management.
  • Manage and maintain customer and account information within our CRM system.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align strategies, execute sales initiatives, and address customer needs.

Working Conditions/ Schedule:

  • Requires the ability and willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory for customer meetings, internal business gatherings, seminars, and conferences. This role necessitates flexibility for stays, accounting for up to 50% of the time. Additionally, occasional travel outside of the assigned territory may be expected.
