Proclinical is seeking a Senior Regional Key Account Manager for a leading organization in the insect protein market. Insects as a source of nutrition for pets don't just offer an alternative sustainable source of protein and fat; they also have antimicrobial and hypoallergenic effects, promoting gut health, better skin, and coat condition. This role, based anywhere in Germany, will cover DACh and Eastern Europe, focusing on the acquisition, retention, and expansion of customer contracts through managing relationships with global key accounts in the pet food industry. The successful candidate will develop strong, strategic relationships and serve as a trusted partner for our customers. This role is crucial to our international expansion and will work closely with a team of talented sales, business development, and marketing professionals.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive sales efforts and deepen relationships with current and new key accounts to achieve revenue targets.
  • Expand market presence by identifying and capitalizing on growth opportunities within the pet food segment.
  • Develop and execute sales and key account strategies to drive business goals and account success.
  • Create and implement tailored key account plans to ensure sustainable growth and alignment with business objectives.

Key Skills and Requirements:

  • Experience in the Pet food industry in a commercial role.
  • Experience with setting up large multi-year sales strategies and contracts.
  • BSc or MSc degree in business administration/economics or similar studies.
  • Passionate about Pet food, sustainability, and learning new things.
  • Structured and forward-thinking with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Flexible and result-oriented approach, ability to influence stakeholders and focus on results and commercial relations.
  • Digital native with ample experience with CRM tools (preferably SalesForce) and commercial excellence.
  • Excellent command of German and English, both written and verbal.
  • Able and willing to travel to tailor the needs of our international customer base.
