Proclinical is seeking a Senior Accountant to join our client's team in Cork. This role focuses on managing the General Ledger accounting and acting as a primary Relationship Manager for various entities. You will support ongoing projects and ensure compliance with financial standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop strong relationships with stakeholders.
  • Contribute to defining service standards and managing service partnership agreements.
  • Define and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Maintain ledger integrity and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Review and post month-end close and accounting transactions accurately and timely.
  • Ensure financial records comply with GAAP and maintain internal controls.
  • Interact with auditors and support audits by providing accurate data and communication.
  • Evaluate processes and recommend improvements.
  • Develop and assess internal controls related to accounting and financial reporting systems.
  • Support Statutory Accounting and VAT programs within International GFS.
  • Champion the Global Financial Services philosophy and architecture for Finance.

Key Skills and Requirements:

  • Qualified accountant with experience in a multi-country RTR environment.
  • Strong knowledge of Oracle or equivalent and proficiency with Microsoft tools (Excel, Outlook, Word).
  • Experience in a global finance function of a multinational corporation.
  • Ability to travel as necessary.
  • Effective interpersonal skills and ability to work across multiple functions and cultures.
  • Experience in Shared Services and biotech or pharmaceuticals industry is advantageous.
  • Ability to manage complexity and ambiguity in a global organization.
  • Proficient in English; additional European languages beneficial.
