Proclinical is partnering with an innovative pharmaceutical organisation that is looking for an Accountant to join their team. This role focuses on managing financial records, ensuring compliance with applicable laws, and supporting various financial operations. We are looking for someone who is detail-oriented, organized, and able to thrive in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities:

Verify the accuracy and completeness of incoming invoices.
Initiate and monitor internal approvals for invoices.
Record accounting entries in the ERP system.
Monitor payment deadlines and process bank transfers.
Handle monthly credit card and cash statements.
Manage monthly travel expense reports.
Oversee receivables and payables.
Create and initiate payment runs and customer direct debits.
Post bank transactions in the ERP system.
Prepare monthly financial statements.
Submit VAT advance returns via ELSTER.
Participate in the preparation of annual financial statements.
Serve as a contact person for payroll accountants, tax advisors, and auditors.
Manage personnel files.

Key Skills and Requirements:

Completed training as an accountant.
Proficiency in SAP FI and Excel.
Strong knowledge of HGB (German Commercial Code) and UstG (German VAT Act).
Excellent communication and analytical skills.
Reliable, organized, and able to work under time pressure.
Fluent in German; knowledge of English is an advantage.
