Sr Director Clinical Development - Permanent - Remote within US
Are you a dedicated individual looking to put your expertise to work fully flexibly in a remote position? Proclinical is seeking a Senior Director of Clinical Development to focus on Gene Therapy.
Primary Responsibilities:
This position is required to guide the strategic planning and execution of clinical development activities within gene therapy programs. This role focuses on providing clinical leadership and integrating strategies for specific disease areas, with an emphasis on collaboration and communication.
Skills & Requirements:
- Medical degree (MD) required.
- Experience in clinical development, particularly in gene therapies.
- Strong background in clinical trial design and execution from early to late-stage trials.
- Proven leadership and people management skills.
- Expertise in SOPs, GCPs, and regulatory guidelines for clinical trials.
- Comprehensive knowledge of clinical and outcomes research study design.
The Sr Director Clinical Development's responsibilities will be:
- Lead strategic planning and execution of clinical development for gene therapy programs.
- Provide clinical leadership and integrate strategies for specific disease areas.
- Collaborate with key opinion leaders in targeted indications.
- Oversee training of study investigators on protocols and clinical trial procedures.
- Author critical documents such as clinical study reports, statistical analysis plans, and informed consent forms.
- Determine study objectives, strategies, scope, and timelines to align with organizational goals.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including clinical operations and regulatory affairs.
- Keep leadership informed of study progress and escalate critical issues as needed.
- Define and negotiate scope of work, budget, and payment schedules with clinical vendors.
