Proclinical are recruiting a Senior Scientist - Molecular Biologist for a biotech organisation. This role is on a permanent basis and is located in Nice.

Responsibilities:

Handle a scientific project on an independent basis, from the experimental design and research method to report editing, working alongside a team of technicians.
You will drive cooperative projects with CROs and academic labs.
Exhibit technical competency, scientific creativity and independent thought.
The ideal candidate will analyse and present results of work in group meetings.
Other duties may be assigned to this role.

Key Skills and Requirements:

Educated to a PhD degree level in a molecular/cellular/development biology or similar discipline with at least 5 years of work experience in a private division.
Previous involvement in a biotech/pharma organisation.
Knowledge in in-vivo diabetes models such as NOD mice as well as type1/2 diabetes.
Expertise on standard molecular biology practices such as CRISPR/Cas9, gene editing, DNA/RNA manipulation, molecular cloning and transfection would be advantageous.
Familiarity with protein biochemistry/signalling would be beneficial.
Fluency in the English language.
Communication skills both verbally and in writing.
A motivated individual who is committed to the task at hand and works well while under pressure.
An organised individual with solid management skills.
Works well in a team.
