Proclinical is seeking a Research Associate specializing in tissue culture to support technical laboratory research projects.
Primary Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will focus is on target validation using human in vitro models in metabolic functional assays. This role is crucial for developing and optimizing workflows in a dynamic research environment.
Skills & Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience.
- Proficiency in tissue culture, including aseptic techniques and BSL2 stewardship.
- Experience with metabolic functional assays such as Seahorse, lipolysis, and glucose uptake.
- Familiarity with cell-based screening systems and lab automation.
- Understanding metabolic diseases and experience with human primary cells is advantageous.
- Competence in functional genomics (siRNA/CRISPR) is beneficial.
- Experience with automated lab equipment and high throughput data production principles.
- Ability to work effectively in a team, with industry experience preferred.
- Skills in advanced cellular imaging and interdisciplinary data interpretation are desirable.
The Research Associate's responsibilities will be:
- Conduct tissue culture work with human cell lines to develop and optimize mid-throughput assay workflows.
- Support project management by creating standard operating procedures and promoting cross-functional teamwork.
- Handle human cell lines and molecular biology reagents, ensuring safety in environments with hazardous chemicals and pathogens.
- Be flexible with working hours, including potential morning, evening, or weekend shifts.
Compensation:
- $38.00 - $48.00 Per Hour
