Senior Accountant

Are you a skilled Accountant looking for your next role in leading key financial processes? Our client is searching for an experienced Senior Accountant!

This position will be responsible for managing general ledger accounting and acting as the primary relationship manager for various entities. You will support financial compliance and contribute to our ongoing SAP project. This position requires a proactive approach to building strong stakeholder relationships and enhancing service standards.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders.
• Contribute to defining service standards and managing service partnership agreements.
• Define and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
• Ensure ledger integrity and compliance with financial regulations and company policies.
• Review and post month-end close and accounting transactions accurately and timely.
• Analyse, review, reconcile, and resolve P&L and balance sheet accounts.
• Support audits by providing accurate data and communication.
• Evaluate and implement process improvements.
• Develop and assess internal controls related to accounting and financial reporting.
• Support statutory accounting and VAT programs internationally.

Key Skills and Requirements:

• Qualified accountant with experience in a multi-country RTR environment.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and local European statutory and tax reporting requirements.
• Proficiency in SAP or equivalent systems and Microsoft Office tools.
• Experience in a global finance function within a multinational corporation.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work across functions and cultures.
• Ability to travel as necessary.
• Effective communication skills in English; additional European language skills are beneficial.
