Regional Finance Manager - Pharma

Proclinical is seeking a Regional Finance Manager to join the financial reporting team in Surrey. This role will ensure compliance and accurate financial reporting while supporting the financial demands of a dynamic pharmaceutical group. Your focus will be on enhancing financial controls, managing month-end processes, and providing insightful analysis to support decision-making.

Responsibilities:

• Support the Finance Director and CFO in improving financial controls.
• Oversee month-end processes and prepare consolidated management accounts.
• Ensure accuracy in reconciliations and address issues promptly.
• Provide analysis of management accounts, including variances and KPIs.
• Oversee preparation and accuracy of consolidated financial statements.
• Manage revenue recognition and compliance with pricing agreements.
• Handle financial aspects of R&D spending and drug development costs.
• Liaise with auditors and manage audits and regulatory filings.
• Oversee product cost accounting and inventory management.
• Act as a financial liaison with leadership and collaborate with various teams.
• Manage and mentor the financial reporting team.
• Drive improvements in financial systems and support ERP implementations.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and strategic initiatives.

Key Skills and Requirements:

• Professional finance or accounting qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA).
• Experience in the pharmaceutical industry and multinational organizations.
• Strong experience in finance team management, particularly in revenue and overheads.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
• Strategic thinking and implementation skills.
