Research Associate: Biological Computation - Contract - San Diego, CA

Proclinical is seeking a Research Associate in Biological Computation to support a significant data collection project.

Primary Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will collaborate with scientists to manage and process cryopreserved animal tissues for imaging and molecular biology analysis. This role requires attention to detail and a proactive approach to ensure efficient sample handling and data collection.

Skills & Requirements:

  • Background in Biomedical Science or related field.
  • Experience with laboratory animal tissue preparation.
  • Proficiency in cryosectioning and molecular biology techniques (RNA/DNA extraction).
  • Familiarity with immunohistochemistry and tissue-based expression analysis.
  • Strong computer skills for maintaining electronic records.
  • Highly organized, self-motivated, and detail-oriented.

The Research Associate: Biological Computation's responsibilities will be:

  • Prepare, track, and process cryopreserved animal tissues for spatial profiling.
  • Conduct molecular biology experiments for quality control and data collection.
  • Assist in annotating mouse tissue histology.
  • Implement and maintain inventory and sample tracking systems.
  • Collaborate on planning large-scale data collection and dissemination.
  • Support research activities under scientific supervision.
  • Operate lab equipment, prepare materials, and perform experimental procedures.
