Phlebotomist

Phlebotomist - Contract - Hagerstown, MD

Proclinical is on the lookout for a Phlebotomist to join a leading toxicology laboratory. This is a contract role located in Hagerstown, MD.

The Phlebotomist will:

• Greet and identify patients according to SOP.
• Obtain billing and testing information according to SOP.
• Review test requisition for proper test collection
• Assemble equipment necessary to collect specimen.
• Collect specimens for drug testing according to SOP and order of the draw.
• Match requisition to collection of tubes for completion.
• Centrifuge when necessary.
• Perform daily, weekly, monthly maintenance and quality control on test kits and urinalysis equipment.
• Prepare and package specimens for shipping to testing location according to SOP.
• Perform customer service duties to include phone inquiries and patient encounters.
• Collect patient payments according to SOP.
