Proclinical is seeking an IT System Administrator for a leading pharmaceutical organisation. This position can be based anywhere in Scotland and offers a hybrid work environment. In this role, you will collaborate with suppliers and partners to deliver secure, scalable, reliable, and effective IT solutions and services. You will work across the organization to ensure our IT business systems and infrastructure support our global growth plans.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the Corporate IT Help Desk by responding to tickets and meeting SLA requirements.
  • Assist with continuous improvement of systems and processes.
  • Support local and global employees and partners with IT systems, applications, and networks.
  • Contribute to the successful delivery of IT system, application, and network implementation projects.
  • Maintain corporate networks, including firewalls, WiFi, and VPN.
  • Participate in the Change Advisory Board and conform to the Change Management policy and process.
  • Establish, document, and maintain consistent processes and policies for managing information and business systems.
  • Provide regular communication and training on IT and business systems.
  • Support the procurement, setup, configuration, and training of new business systems.
  • Contribute to the culture of continual improvement and efficiency within IT and business systems.
  • Ensure all work is risk assessed and quality, regulatory, and legally approved.
  • Handle complaints calmly and courteously, ensuring follow-up actions are taken.

Key Skills and Requirements:

  • Proven track record as a Systems Administrator.
  • Experience with SaaS and IT Helpdesk.
  • Flexibility in a rapidly changing business environment.
  • Ability to manage and influence diverse stakeholders.
  • Hands-on experience with O365 tenant administration.
  • Experience with corporate network administration, including firewalls, switching, WiFi, and VPN.
  • Handling business-critical system outages.
  • Experience working within and improving IT policies and processes.
  • Managing, upgrading, and maintaining Windows PC, Laptop, and Server environments.
  • Experience in an ISO 27001 certified organization.
  • Knowledge of Cisco networking, practices, and principles.
  • Working knowledge of Powershell.
  • Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS and/or Azure).
  • IT-related qualification.
