Proclinical is seeking a dedicated Distribution Centre Operative to join our Supply Chain department. This role is based on the shop floor and reports to the DC Shift Supervisor. The successful candidate will be part of a team responsible for fulfilling daily operational activities and ensuring the efficient and correct receipt, storage, and dispatch of stock.

Please note that to be considered for this role you must have the right to work in this location.

Responsibilities

  • Work towards set personal and warehouse KPIs, ensuring all deliveries leave on time.
  • Organize and complete daily tasks, updating them to reflect changing business needs.
  • Efficiently receive and store stock in the correct temperature-controlled areas.
  • Prioritize urgent requirements and process cross-docked items and customer backorders in a timely manner.
  • Assist with the loading and unloading of vehicles and the general handling of materials throughout the site.
  • Move stock to replenish bins for picking in a timely manner.
  • Segregate, record, and update the status of customer returned products in line with procedures.
  • Accurately pick customer orders in accordance with material number, quantity, batch number, expiry date, and temperature condition.
  • Ensure the correct and efficient dispatch of all customer orders from the NDC, considering all customer, compliance, and quality requirements.
  • Liaise with all stakeholders to achieve 100% output of all orders.
  • Perform all processes as set out in the related work instructions.
  • Maintain a safe, clean working environment and clean/undamaged saleable stock.
  • Carry out any other reasonable duties as requested by members of management.

Key Skills and Requirements

  • GCSE pass (or equivalent) in Maths & English.
  • A 'Level or equivalent (desirable).
  • Qualification on Forklift Truck Operations (desirable).
  • Qualification on Logistics Operations Management (desirable).
  • IATA qualification (desirable).
  • Experience in warehousing and leadership of high performing supply chain team.
  • Knowledge of SAP/IT, budget monitoring/operational efficiency, performance management, staff/operational planning, and change management.
  • Strategic thinking, attention to detail, complex problem solving, systems analysis, service orientation and customer focus.
  • Management of financial resources.
  • Flexibility, team player, conscientious.
  • Knowledge of SAP WM/EWM and MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Powerpoint).
  • Forklift truck driving experience (not essential).
