Procurement Manager - Contract - Lexington, Middlesex, MA

Proclinical is working alongside a pharmaceutical company seeking a Procurement Manager for a contract role in Lexington, MA.

Primary Responsibilities:

The Successful Candidate will be responsible for developing and executing procurement strategies, managing supplier relationships, and overseeing contract negotiations. They will work closely with various departments to ensure procurement activities align with business objectives and compliance standards.

Skills & Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, economics, finance, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proven track record in procurement, CAPEX projects, and the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Experience leading sourcing activities within comparable categories.
  • Project management certification (CAPM, PMP, etc.) preferred.
  • Experience in large, matrixed organizations.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Teams, PowerPoint, Power BI, and Excel.

The Procurement Manager's responsibilities will be:

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies and detailed plans.
  • Lead sourcing processes, including supplier scouting, selection, and contracting.
  • Plan and execute sourcing events, such as RFPs and negotiations.
  • Develop and use bid evaluation frameworks, incorporating techniques like Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) and risk assessment.
  • Prepare reports and maintain documentation related to sourcing activities.
  • Address and resolve supplier performance issues.
  • Negotiate high-complexity contracts with suppliers, ensuring favorable terms.
  • Collaborate with other departments to drive initiatives and achieve project objectives.
  • Verify invoices align with purchase orders and contract deliverables.
  • Develop and maintain project management reports in Power BI, Teams, or Excel.
  • Create high-level project plans detailing scope, timeline, milestones, and resource allocation.
  • Manage stakeholder engagement and alignment strategies.
