Proclinical is seeking a Distribution Centre Operative to join our team in Burgess Hill. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and accurate handling of goods within a temperature-controlled environment. You will work closely with your team to meet daily operational goals and adapt to changing business needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Fulfill daily operational activities and meet personal and warehouse KPIs.
  • Organize and complete daily tasks, updating them as needed.
  • Efficiently receive goods and store them in the correct temperature-controlled areas.
  • Prioritize urgent requirements and process cross-docked items and customer backorders promptly.
  • Assist with loading and unloading vehicles and general material handling.
  • Replenish stock bins for picking.
  • Segregate, record, and update the status of customer returned products.
  • Accurately pick customer orders based on material number, quantity, batch number, expiry date, and temperature condition.
  • Ensure picked products are packed correctly, considering temperature sensitivity and special requirements.
  • Use SAP R/3 Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) to perform tasks.
  • Assist with daily inventory checks.
  • Maintain a safe, clean working environment and undamaged saleable stock.
  • Perform other reasonable duties as requested by Team Leaders or the DC Manager.
  • Follow quality system procedures and contribute to their updates.

Key Skills and Requirements:

  • GCSE pass (or equivalent) in Maths & English.
  • Experience in warehousing.
  • Leadership experience in a high-performing supply chain team.
  • Expertise in packaging or relevant transferable experience.
  • Proficiency in SAP/IT systems.
  • Experience in budget monitoring and operational efficiency.
  • Skills in performance management, staff/operational planning, and change management.
  • Strategic thinking and attention to detail.
  • Complex problem-solving and systems analysis.
  • Service orientation and customer focus.
  • Management of financial resources.
  • Flexibility and teamwork.
  • Conscientiousness.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Forklift truck driving experience (desirable but not essential).
  • Reliable personal transportation required due to location (public transport not available)
  • Candidates should reside within 30 minutes of Burgess Hill
