DevOps Engineer

Proclinical is seeking an IT Systems Advisor to join an agile team and provide expert advice on IT systems. This role involves overseeing the entire lifecycle of IT systems, from conception to implementation, and ensuring their smooth operation. The position requires a proactive approach to innovation and a strong feedback culture.

Responsibilities:

• Advise on IT systems and actively participate in projects within an agile team.
• Oversee the lifecycle of IT systems, including conception, construction, and operation.
• Specify, evaluate, and configure infrastructure components for ICT platforms.
• Implement and migrate ICT platforms.
• Analyse faults and error conditions, and initiate and monitor measures to remedy them.
• Define key figures for checking service levels.
• Define escalation procedures.
• Maintain system technical documentation.
• Promote goal-oriented action and innovation in a customer-integrated approach.

Key Skills and Requirements:

• Proficiency in German and English (Level B2).
• Degree in computer science, vocational training as a computer scientist, or equivalent professional experience.
• In-depth knowledge of virtualization and container technologies, Ansible, VMWare, Microsoft Active Directory, data centre management, network technologies, and Windows and Linux systems.
• Programming skills in Python, PowerShell, and Bash Shell.
• Additional knowledge of firewall, NetApp, Kubernetes, Docker, ArcGIS, and Selenium is advantageous.
• Independent, proactive, and conscientious working style.
• Strong quality awareness and assertiveness.
• Willingness to work in Thun and Bern.
