Proclinical is seeking a dedicated and strategic individual for the role of Associate Director, Supply Chain. This role involves managing all site-related supply chain activities, including production planning, materials management, logistics, and project management. The successful candidate will work closely with the site Leadership Team and the Global Supply Chain team to ensure seamless product supply.
Responsibilities
- Lead the Production Planning & Scheduling team to manage site planning and production schedules.
- Oversee Materials Management to ensure accuracy in inventory and performance against metrics.
- Manage site supply planning within global Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning (SIOP) process.
- Anticipate and identify supply chain risks and develop action and resolution plans.
- Establish and maintain effective communication channels to provide accurate information.
- Recommend plans and strategies for continuous improvement in operations and procedures.
- Assist in managing the materials budget and ensure adherence to the approved budget.
- Responsible for accurate management of materials related information in ERP and spreadsheets.
- Participate in business system implementation projects to improve operational performance.
- Oversee change controls, investigations, and deviations and partner with stakeholders to manage on time release of batches.
- Participate in supplier governance activities and manage supplier issues.
- Create a high-performing team that emphasizes strengths-based execution, accountability, open communication, people development and continuous improvement.
Key Skills and Requirements
- Strong experience in managing operations, manufacturing, or supply chain within biologics or cell/gene therapy industries.
- Proven leadership capability.
- Experience in information gathering, analysis and management reporting.
- Experience building organizations from scratch.
- Ability to use changes in legislation to develop new opportunities.
- Ability to attract, lead, manage and inspire logistics talent and resources across the entire organization.
- Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills.
- Excellent knowledge of the logistics environment, encompassing global trade compliance, domestic distribution and international logistics.
- University Degree in Operations/Supply Chain Management/Business/Engineering or similar.
- Master's degree or MBA a plus.
- Relevant certifications (CSCP, CPIM) a plus.
