SVP Global Head Medical Affairs, Rare Diseases/Neurology - Permanent - Boston, MA

Proclinical is seeking an SVP Global Head Medical Affairs for Rare Diseases/Neurology to lead the strategic development and execution of medical affairs initiatives for gene therapy programs.

Primary Responsibilities:

This role focuses on preparing for the launch of transformative therapies for neurodegenerative diseases. The successful candidate will collaborate with senior leadership and various teams to ensure alignment with corporate objectives and patient needs.

Skills & Requirements:

  • Advanced degree in a relevant scientific discipline (Neurology, CNS essential).
  • Experience in pharmaceutical/biotech industry, particularly in Medical Affairs leadership.
  • Proven track record in rare disease and gene or cell therapy.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and strategic thinking skills.
  • Knowledge of healthcare ecosystem and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborative, results-driven, and adaptable.

The SVP Global Head Medical Affairs' responsibilities will be:

  • Develop and lead the global Medical Affairs strategy.
  • Serve as the senior scientific expert in gene therapy.
  • Collaborate with R&D, Clinical Development, Regulatory Affairs, and Commercial teams.
  • Oversee medical communication, publications, and KOL engagement.
  • Establish relationships with key opinion leaders and represent the company at industry events.
  • Ensure compliance with regulations and support regulatory communications.
  • Lead and develop a high-performing Medical Affairs team.
  • Provide medical insights for commercialization strategies.
