Software Development Engineer

Proclinical is seeking a highly skilled Software Development Engineer to contribute to my client's conceptualization and functional development of complex software projects throughout their entire lifecycle. The role involves refining backlog items, coding, testing, documenting, and collaborating with operations teams as essential parts of the development process.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the environment in which the software is embedded and will play a key role in guiding and mentoring engineers while sharing knowledge across the team. A critical mindset towards implemented solutions, along with the ability to bring forward innovative ideas, is essential. Additionally, the Software Development Engineer will continuously identify and define improvements both in the development process and the software architecture.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Evaluation of software requirements and change requests, considering feasibility, complexity, impact on existing systems, and adherence to standards and guidelines, while also assessing the feasibility of alternative solutions.
• Defining the required technical and human resources, as well as the interfaces to peripheral systems.
• Analysis, design and implement the security measures.
• Implementation and maintenance the software applications, components and interfaces.
• Ensuring third level support, analyse and fix the bugs.
• Creation of concepts and implementation software improvements throughout the software lifecycle.
• Supporting the project execution for customer projects.

Technical Skillsets:

• Proficient understanding of software engineering, specifically in backend and Frontend.
• Strong skillsets in object-oriented software programming, .NET, Angular.
• Strong knowledge in source control management, Git on Azure DevOps.
• Understanding of software design and architecture patterns.
• Strong understanding of the Windows operating system and networks.
• Fluent in English (level C1 or equivalent) and German.
