Site Microbiologist (Principal Scientist) - Permanent - Framingham, MA

Proclinical is seeking a dedicated and innovative Site Microbiologist to act as a technical lead for Quality Control (QC) Microbiology programs in a dynamic biopharmaceutical manufacturing environment. This is a permanent position located in Framingham, MA.

Primary Responsibilities:

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced setting and is passionate about maintaining high-quality standards in microbiology systems.

Skills & Requirements:

Laboratory-based experience in a Microbiology testing capacity within a regulated environment.
Experience implementing contamination control strategies for viral drug substance and product manufacturing.
Experience in setting up testing laboratory processes and supporting a manufacturing facility.

The Site Microbiologist will:

Establish and maintain QC Microbiology systems to support facility testing requirements.
Act as a technical lead for virus contamination control strategies and relevant activities related to regulatory filings.
Lead a team to ensure completion of change control and deviations related to QC Microbiology operations, including investigations of out-of-specification (OOS) results.
Oversee environmental, water, and gas monitoring programs, including clean room suite qualifications.
Collaborate with the routine QC testing team on bioburden, endotoxin, microbial ID analysis, and raw materials testing.
