Senior Research Associate - Contract - Cambridge, MA

Proclinical is collaborating with a Global pharmaceutical company who are seeking a Senior Research Associate to join our team in Cambridge, MA. They will collaborate closely with computational experts to develop data analysis pipelines and investigate the application of NGS in diverse areas to expedite workflows and enhance pipeline programs.

Primary Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will focus on advancing antibody discovery efforts using next-generation sequencing (NGS) technologies.

Skills & Requirements:

  • BS, MS, or PhD in a relevant scientific field.
  • Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience with NGS library generation and operating Illumina sequencing platforms.
  • Strong understanding of NGS technologies and data analysis.
  • Ability to optimize and troubleshoot NGS protocols.
  • Experience with library quantification and quality control processes.
  • Excellent record-keeping and timeline management skills.

The Senior Research Associate's responsibilities will be:

  • Develop workflows utilizing NGS technologies for antibody discovery from various platforms.
  • Collaborate with computational scientists to develop data analysis pipelines for NGS data.
  • Investigate the use of NGS in other areas to enhance pipeline support and accelerate programs to IND.
  • Develop and optimize NGS protocols for library generation, sequencing, and quality control.
  • Implement NGS workflows in areas such as cell line generation, plasmid preparation, and CAR-T design characterization.
  • Generate high-quality NGS libraries (e.g., RNASeq, CITE-Seq) through rigorous optimization and QC processes.
  • Perform DNA library fragment purification and size analysis.
  • Conduct library quantification using qubit and qPCR.
  • Continuously improve NGS workflows by integrating automation and informatics.
  • Troubleshoot NGS experiments to ensure assay robustness and high-quality data generation.
  • Meet established timelines and maintain accurate records of work.
