Safety Expert Statistician

Proclinical is seeking a dedicated Lead Statistician for Safety Monitoring. This role is integral to our safety monitoring team, focusing on methodological and statistical aspects of safety data analyses. The successful candidate will also act as an internal statistical consultant for safety analyses.

Responsibilities:

• Lead safety signal detection, validation, characterization, and reporting for several projects.
• Provide statistical support and scientific leadership for clinical trial safety data within a project.
• Ensure the quality, relevance, and scientific validity of safety analysis.
• Plan and track project activities related to safety, timelines, and resource use.
• Lead discussions around the definition and harmonization of quality standards.
• Provide technical guidance and mentor junior staff.
• Foster productive collaborations with other functions in the safety monitoring team and with other statistics project leaders.
• Represent statistics in scientific or technology working groups or cross-function initiatives.

Key Skills and Requirements:

• PhD/MS in statistics or another related field.
• Proven knowledge in clinical development or post-marketing activities such as submissions, interactions with regulatory agencies, and safety signal detection.
• A vast background in project and study management.
• Strong interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Broad knowledge and understanding of advanced statistical concepts and techniques, including Bayesian methodology.
• Ability to represent Proclinical in cross-company activities.
• Fluency in German and English, both written and spoken.
