Research Scientist - Contract - Lexington MA

Proclinical is seeking a Research Scientist specializing in RNAi formulations and biophysics to join a dedicated team.

Primary Responsibilities:

This lab-based role focuses on the formulation and analytical characterization of oligonucleotides for injectable delivery. The successful candidate will work within a diverse team to develop preclinical formulations and translate them into clinical studies.

Skills & Requirements:

Expertise in pharmaceutical sciences or related disciplines.
Hands-on experience with synthesis, characterization, and purification techniques such as NMR, HPLC, and Mass Spectrometry.
Subject matter expertise in nucleic acid therapeutics formulation.
Ability to establish screening assays for oligonucleotides.
Experience in analytical method development for complex oligonucleotides.
Familiarity with high-throughput screening methods like DoE.
Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
Awareness of trends and advances in RNA delivery and clinical translation.
Experience with automation is advantageous.
Proven publication record in high-quality journals.

The Research Scientist's responsibilities will be:

Develop preclinical formulations of conjugated oligonucleotides.
Apply advanced analytical characterization techniques.
Identify technological gaps and provide research recommendations.
Manage external collaborations to ensure project deliverables.
Optimize storage and stability conditions for RNAi conjugates.
Develop robust analytical methods and assays for quality control.
Communicate findings through presentations and reports.
Thrive in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary research environment.
