Research Grant Contract Manager - Contract - Detroit, Michigan
Proclinical is seeking a Research Grant Contract Manager. This role involves monitoring the financial status of multiple grants within a team or functional group.
Primary Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will ensure compliance with accounting procedures, accurately allocate grant funds, and collaborate across departments to resolve accounting discrepancies. Additionally, this role will assist in preparing research grant applications, focusing on budget preparation in adherence to internal and external guidelines. Strong financial forecasting, problem-solving, and communication skills are essential for this role.
Skills & Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in health sciences, health-related field, finance, or business.
- Strong analytical ability with attention to detail.

The Research Grant Contract Manager responsibilities will be:
- Collaborate with Principal Investigators to prepare research grant applications.
- Complete all pre- and post-award forms required by the institution.
- Coordinate and oversee monthly accounting and budget activities for assigned grants.
- Provide regular budget projections to Principal Investigators.
- Ensure timely completion of salary splits and monthly time and effort reports.
- Review personnel efforts considering future funding to recommend long-term effort allocation plans.
- Analyze departmental grant funds to identify trends, balances, and potential issues.
- Act as a liaison with granting agencies, Research Administration, and Fund Accounting.
- Stay updated on agency and institutional guidelines.
- Maintain adherence to the institution's research code of conduct.
