Project Manager - Contract - Foster City, CA

Proclinical is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Project Manager.

Primary Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will manage and oversee nonclinical research projects, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies. This role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Skills & Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant scientific discipline (e.g., biology, chemistry, pharmacology).
  • Experience in project management within the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry, with a focus on drug discovery.
  • Strong understanding of the drug discovery process and nonclinical support, from IND to Phase 3, including life-cycle support.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • PMP (Project Management Professional) certification (preferred).
  • Experience with regulatory submissions and compliance (preferred).
  • Basic knowledge of Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) guidelines (preferred)

The Project Manager responsibilities will be:

  • Maintain and track nonclinical project plans.
  • Coordinate and facilitate communication between nonclinical subteams and development teams.
  • Oversee project updates, presentations, and reports for senior management and stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
  • Foster a collaborative and innovative team environment.
  • Conduct effective meetings with clear objectives, seeking to gain cross-functional input, assess risks, and solicit alternative views for decision making; develop agendas, take meeting minutes, and follow up on action items.
