Proclinical is seeking a Project Engineer to lead and manage capital projects, ensuring timely delivery within budget and to high-quality standards. This role involves providing technical leadership, adhering to compliance and safety standards, and contributing to a portfolio of projects.
Responsibilities:
- Provide technical leadership in process, mechanical, or electrical engineering.
- Ensure compliance with internal and external standards and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct technical appraisals to identify feasible engineering solutions.
- Lead design reviews and generate technical documents, such as User Requirement Specifications and Technical Specifications.
- Manage project work packages, ensuring alignment with objectives, timelines, and budget constraints.
- Coordinate with vendors for design reviews, fabrication, installation, and testing activities (FAT/SAT).
- Support and execute commissioning and qualification activities.
- Ensure smooth handover of completed projects to key stakeholders.
- Identify and promote innovative solutions and process improvements.
- Perform problem-solving to identify root causes of failures.
- Adhere to current GMP requirements for sterile medicinal products.
- Develop Quality Risk Assessments to identify and mitigate risks.
- Manage safety and environmental considerations for new systems.
- Oversee safe equipment startup, shutdown, and job control practices.
- Raise any Health and Safety concerns to your line manager or EHS team.
Key Skills and Requirements:
- Degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering, or another relevant field.
- Professional qualification with IChemE, IMechE, ISPE, or similar is preferred.
- Knowledge of project management and engineering best practices within a cGMP or regulated environment.
- Understanding of engineering design processes.
- Experience with pharmaceutical manufacturing process equipment and utility systems is preferred.
