Principal Late Phase Statistician

Proclinical is seeking a Principal (Late Phase) Biostatistician. This role involves applying innovative statistical approaches to solve unique data challenges, leading projects and overseeing various statistical aspects of late-phase clinical trials. The successful candidate will also be responsible for analysing and interpreting observational and real-world data as well as providing strategic statistical guidance to internal project teams and clients.

Responsibilities:

• Apply innovative statistical approaches to solve novel data challenges
• Lead and oversee various statistical aspects of late-phase clinical trials
• Review statistical analysis plans (SAPs) and quality control statistical output/reports
• Provide strategic statistical guidance to internal project teams and clients
• Engage with clients to understand project requirements and ensure client satisfaction
• Analyse and interpret observational and real-world data
• Support systematic literature reviews, data extraction, and analysis
• Appraise the quality and reliability of data sources to support decision-making
• Mentor, train, and provide expert guidance to junior colleagues
• Contribute to internal training initiatives, process improvement, and business development

Key Skills and Requirements:

• MSc/PhD in Statistics/Biostatistics or equivalent knowledge/expertise
• Solid understanding of the clinical drug development process
• Comprehensive knowledge of regulatory standards, ICH/GCP guidelines, and HTA regulations
• Proficiency in SAS
• Exceptional problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
• Fluent in written and spoken English
