Phlebotomist - Contract - Hagerstown, MD
Proclinical is seeking a dedicated Phlebotomist to join our client's team in Hagerstown, MD.
Primary Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will focus on collecting specimens for drug testing and ensuring accurate patient identification and billing information. This position requires attention to detail and adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Skills & Requirements:
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow SOPs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
- Proficiency in assembling and using phlebotomy equipment.
The Phlebotomist's responsibilities will be:
- Greet and identify patients following standard operating procedures.
- Obtain billing and testing information as per SOPs.
- Review test requisitions to ensure proper test collection.
- Assemble necessary equipment for specimen collection.
- Collect specimens for drug testing according to SOPs and the order of the draw.
- Match requisitions with the collection of tubes for completion.
