Payroll Analyst III -Contract - Remote

Proclinical is seeking a Payroll Subject Matter Expert (SME) to provide technical and analytical support to the payroll function

Primary Responsibilities:

This role involves delivering comprehensive payroll and time and labor processing efficiently and accurately. The successful candidate will ensure compliance with local, state, and federal laws while interacting with various internal and external customers. This position also offers cross-functional support to multiple groups and initiatives.

Skills & Requirements:

  • Hands-on experience in payroll processing.
  • Experience with multistate, inpat/expat, and Canada payroll processing.
  • Proficiency with ADP GlobalView and Microsoft Excel.
  • Familiarity with SAP or ADP Payroll processing.
  • Knowledge of Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA), and federal, state, and local tax laws.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a high volume workload.
  • Proven process improvement and problem-solving skills.
  • General knowledge of Human Resources.

The Payroll Analyst III responsibilities will be:

  • Process, monitor, and maintain payroll data.
  • Identify and implement process improvement initiatives.
  • Prepare special pay calculations and payroll uploads/reports.
  • Handle employee garnishments, fringes, and payments.
  • Serve as a back-up for full-scope payroll tasks.
  • Manage multi-state payroll setup, compliance, and processing.
  • Maintain systems for accurate reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state laws.
  • Calculate expatriate pay and monitor net pay calculations.
  • Program payroll systems for special calculations and compliance.
  • Follow through on payroll inquiries promptly.
  • Support cross-functional teams within P&O and other departments.
  • Ensure seamless year-end and year-begin processes.
  • Manage payroll quality control standards.
