In Vivo (Senior) Research Associate - Contract - San Francisco Bay

Proclinical is seeking a dedicated and highly skilled (Senior) Research Associate to support the In Vivo Pharmacology Operations.

Primary Responsibilities:

This role will play a crucial role in advancing all therapeutic programs by organising in vivo research activities and executing preclinical studies. This role requires a solid understanding of in vivo research methodologies and the ability to perform in complex activities.

Skills & Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Biology, Pharmacology, Veterinary Science, or a related field.
  • Experience with intratracheal (IT) and oropharyngeal (OA) dosing.
  • Strong communication skills, essential for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Proven capability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
  • Commitment to the 3Rs in animal research, with a strong focus on animal welfare and adherence to high ethical standards and regulatory guidelines.
  • Willingness to learn new techniques as needed to help support the team.

The In Vivo (Senior) Research Associate's responsibilities will be:

  • Conduct In Vivo experiments in rodents, including animal handling, dosing, blood collection, euthanasia, biofluid sample collection, animal monitoring, weighing, and necropsy with tissue harvest.
  • Collaborate with operational leads to execute pre-clinical studies, contributing to timeline planning, study prep and experimental logistics.
  • Accurately collect and record experimental data in an electronic lab notebook, ensuring meticulous documentation, data integrity, traceability, and regulatory compliance.
  • Contribute to the development and optimization of experimental techniques and protocols to meet project objectives and quality standards.
  • Participate in developing, characterizing, and implementing new animal models to enhance the effectiveness of in vivo pharmacology studies.
  • Communicate study progress, results, and issues effectively with the team.
  • Provide support in the maintenance and organization of laboratory equipment, supplies, and facilities, ensuring a safe and productive working environment.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support the development and progression of therapeutic programs.
  • Contribute to a team culture that promotes continuous improvement, ownership, professional growth, and inclusion.

Compensation:

  • $90,000 to $130,400.
