Epidemiologist - Contract - Durham (Remote)

Proclinical is seeking a dedicated and innovative Epidemiologist to join our team.

Primary Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will play a crucial role in im1proving our understanding of diseases relevant to drug development. This includes analyzing factors such as incidence, prevalence, risk factors, natural history course, treatment patterns, and more. The role also involves supporting clinical trial design, contributing to medication safety evaluation, and supporting post-marketing surveillance activities. The candidate will also be expected to critically appraise existing epidemiology evidence and create new evidence through specific research plans and analysis of healthcare databases.

Skills & Requirements:

Knowledge and experience in Epidemiology in a pharmaceutical, academic, or government setting.
Experience applying epidemiologic methods to study various questions in support of medicine development.
Experience leading pharmaco-epidemiologic research programs in a drug development environment.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Ability to communicate scientific evidence to peers and at scientific meetings.
PhD in epidemiology or a relevant discipline (i.e. health services research, health outcomes research, public health, statistics or pharmaceutical sciences).

The Epidemiologist responsibilities will be:

Improve understanding of diseases relevant to drug development.
Support clinical trial design, including identification of target population, protocol development, and patient recruitment.
Contribute to medication safety evaluation and identify high-risk populations.
Support post-marketing surveillance activities.
Critically appraise existing epidemiology evidence and create new evidence.
