Discipline: Epidemiologist

Location: United Kingdom

Proclinical is seeking a dedicated and skilled Epidemiologist to join a Data & Analytics Center (DAC). The successful candidate will be responsible for writing Statistical Analysis Plans (SAPs), developing medical code lists for studies, guiding data analysts to explore large healthcare databases, and interpreting study results and outputs. Familiarity with large databases such as Marketscan or CPRD, and experience with statistical software like SAS or R is highly desirable.

Responsibilities:

Writing of Statistical Analysis Plans (SAPs)
Assist with projects using healthcare data assets.
Guiding analysts to explore Real-World Data (RWD)
Assist with the research strategy within the product team and epidemiology TA
Providing input into epidemiology department meetings
Staying abreast of the latest developments in the field of epidemiology and drug development, healthcare RWD and contributing to the field
Promoting epidemiologic awareness and understanding and use of RWD and epidemiologic methods
Communicating significant scientific information to a variety of audiences

Key Skills and Requirements:

Doctorate in Epidemiology, Data Science, or a related field with high epidemiologic content.
Experience in epidemiologic research and working with observational data.
Ability to communicate epidemiological information effectively (written and oral).
Knowledge of SAS, R, or other statistical software
Experience in the design, execution and analysis of epidemiology studies within a Pharmaceutical or Public Health setting is preferred.
Experience in research to support drug development.
Knowledge on large databases such as Marketscan or CPRD.
Experience in epidemiological project planning and management is preferred.
Previous experience working in multi-disciplinary teams.
Record of publication in peer-reviewed journals is preferred.
