Director of Business Development - Permanent - Remote within US
Proclinical is seeking a Director of US Business Development to lead and manage the business development process.
Primary Responsibilities:
This role focuses on creating and executing strategic plans to enhance sales and profitability, particularly within the oncology sector. The successful candidate will leverage industry relationships and business acumen to drive growth and establish new client partnerships.
Skills & Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree; MBA or Life Science degree preferred.
- Proven track record in generating new business and client service.
- Strong experience in oncology/hematology.
- Extensive industry relationships with decision-makers and opinion leaders.
- Ability to understand and translate client needs into business proposals.
- Excellent communication and strategic planning skills.
- Self-motivated, enthusiastic, and solution-oriented.
- Willingness to travel extensively.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
- Strong negotiation, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
The Director of Business Development's responsibilities will be:
- Develop and implement business development plans for assigned clients, including revenue forecasts and targeting strategies.
- Set and achieve short, medium, and long-term sales goals.
- Establish and maintain relationships with potential clients, presenting capabilities and opportunities.
- Lead the creation of presentations for client pitches with support from internal teams.
- Analyze market dynamics and recommend tactics to achieve brand success.
- Articulate the value proposition and services in alignment with global strategy.
- Maintain and expand existing client relationships.
- Develop targeting plans for key scientific congresses.
- Identify innovative opportunities to enhance capabilities and drive sales growth.
- Collaborate with internal teams to identify new business opportunities post-congresses.
- Pursue new business from non-competing brands.
- Manage key customer relationships and participate in closing strategic opportunities.
- Travel for meetings and conventions as needed.
