Proclinical are recruiting for a Business Unit Head - Iberia to join a pharmaceutical organisation. This role is on a permanent basis and is located in Lisbon.
Responsibilities:
- You will develop pricing options based on market trends, payer acumens and impact on sales/profitability in collaboration with the market access and finance team.
- Form relationships and engage with crucial physicians and KOL's, hospital pharmacists and any other crucial hospital shareholders in your TA.
- Assist with demand planning in rolling predictions to guarantee suitable precision.
- Handle all human resource across the allocated therapeutic area team which involves development, discipline, reward (incentive plans), recruitment, appraisal, setting standards and guaranteeing any issues raised are resolved.
- Assure cross-functional alignment with market access and medical affairs across both Spain and Portugal.
- Offer both monthly and quarterly sales performance updates, revisions and modifications to the plan when needed.
- Other duties may be assigned.
Key Skills and Requirements:
- Educated to an advanced degree level in a health-linked field, though an MBA, health economics or MA training would be ideal.
- Demonstrable experience in sales and marketing obtained within a pharmaceutical / biotech organisation.
- Solid commercial insight within hospital markets.
- Familiarity with product launch.
- Leadership skills.
- A background in people's management and cross functional teams.
- Comprehension of regional market access requirements / shareholders and the intricacy of regional health concerns.
- Able to form new relationships swiftly with crucial shareholders.
- Past involvement with P&L management with comprehension of revenue predictions and expense budget planning and tracking.
- Acquaintance with RRDDs and tender markets would be preferable.
