Associate Director - Business Development- Perm - United States - East Coast

Proclinical is seeking a dynamic and proactive individual for the role of Associate Director of Business Development for a biotech company. This role is integral to our mission of bringing cutting-edge therapies to communities through clinical research.

This role is applicable anywhere within the East Coast of The United States.

Primary Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and overseeing all business development operations, including generating new business, increasing the clinical trial pipeline, and cultivating strong relationships with key decision-makers within client organizations.

Skills & Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in biological sciences, marketing, or related field (Master's preferred)
  • Proven experience in the pharmaceutical, biotech and/or clinical research industries
  • Demonstrated customer access and knowledge of the clinical research market
  • Ability to work independently and proactively
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to adapt quickly and embrace change
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to maintain stable performance under pressure

The Associate Director - Business Development's responsibilities will be:

  • Prepare and execute a comprehensive outreach plan for generating new business
  • Increase the clinical trial pipeline and secure new clinical trials for all sites
  • Prospect and sell our services to both pharmaceutical and CRO clients
  • Generate weekly pipeline and potential client activity reports
  • Manage the feasibility process with potential clients
  • Coordinate with leaders across the organization to ensure tactical and strategic company goals are achieved
  • Develop strategies for approaching clients in numerous therapeutic areas and prepare client presentations
  • Analyze potential study opportunities and develop a sales plan for each target client
  • Cultivate strong, long-term relationships with key decision-makers within client organizations
  • Maintain general knowledge of all Research services and sites
  • Record and organize all customer contacts, interactions & opportunities
  • Generate quarterly and annual sales goals and monitor all actions and results against plans
  • Handle follow-up related to upcoming trial opportunities with clients and drive completion of new study start up at our clinical sites
  • Maintain high visibility within client organization and monitor client satisfaction by communicating regularly with client
  • Track trends within the market to ensure the company's therapeutic diversity supports future growth
