Associate CTSM - Contract - Rochester NY
Proclinical is seeking a dedicated Associate CTSM.
Primary Responsibilities:
This role will focus on handling and processing biological specimens, ensuring accurate distribution and documentation. This position requires attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols.
Skills & Requirements:
- Degree in Biomedical Sciences or related field.
- Proficiency with email and basic computer programs.
- Strong data entry skills.
- Ability to stand for 3-4 hours while working.
- Ability to lift packages up to 50 pounds.
The Associate CTSM's responsibilities will be:
- Follow company policies and safety procedures to prevent exposure to blood and bodily fluids.
- Distribute specimens to the appropriate department for prompt analysis.
- Ensure client satisfaction by providing exceptional service to internal customers.
- Open shipping packages and process contents accordingly.
- Enter receipt information into the ACM system.
- Sort specimens to the appropriate area as necessary.
- Perform monthly maintenance, including clearing ice buildup from freezers.
- Handle samples under varying temperature conditions, including ultra-cold and liquid nitrogen environments.
- Print referral manifests and pack specimens for delivery to reference laboratories.
- Maintain a clean and tidy working environment, including frozen storage unit maintenance and waste ice receptacle management.
- Sweep floors as directed by supervision.
- Perform and document daily maintenance and monitoring functions, such as specimen rotation and temperature documentation.
- Comply with regulations from the FDA, NY State Department of Health, Good Clinical Practice, and International Air Transport Association.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
