Account Manager - Permanent - Boston, MA
Proclinical is seeking an Account Manager to provide sales expertise and account management within the multiomics and synthetic biology portfolio.
Primary Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will lead all selling and commercial activities in existing and prospective markets, maintain effective customer relations, develop growth opportunities, and ensure market penetration and profitability while achieving sales targets.
Skills & Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in a Life Sciences field.
- Minimum 3 working years of experience in Synthetic Biology with proven track record of success in account management.
- Strong understanding of the Genomics industry and ability to develop high-level applications knowledge.
- Familiarity with Sequencing, Synthetic Biology, cell and gene therapies, and molecular biology lab techniques.
- Experience working in a team environment.
- Demonstrated history of devising and implementing successful strategies using a consultative approach.
- Strong negotiation and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in maintaining and organizing opportunity pipelines using CRM tools such as Salesforce.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel extensively within the assigned territory.
The Account Manager's responsibilities will be:
- Handle sales and account management activities for assigned locations, defining and driving sales strategies.
- Own and drive the territory development plan, working collaboratively with stakeholders and coordinating resources to drive team selling.
- Leverage understanding and experience in drug discovery, drug development, gene-to-antibody, and proteomics to deliver impactful outcomes.
- Utilize consultative selling techniques to add value and develop unique products and services tailored to customer needs.
- Consistently exceed quarterly and annual sales targets by building and managing a robust sales pipeline.
- Drive growth by acquiring new customers and expanding market penetration within existing accounts.
- Provide forecasts, weekly reports, marketing intelligence, and information to managers and stakeholders.
- Close sales deals strategically and maintain long-term client relationships to drive business growth and retention.
- Manage and maintain customer and account information within the CRM system, ensuring accurate visibility and streamlined sales processes.
- Collaborate within a dynamic team environment to deliver customer-centric value and drive revenue growth.
- Foster cross-functional partnerships with teams such as Marketing, Product Development, Customer Service, Regional Sales Specialists, Technical Support, and Product Management.
Compensation:
- $110,000 to $115,000 per annum.
