The overview

Our partner, a global biopharmaceutical company, headquartered in Europe with a focus on transformative medicines in oncology, rare disease and neuroscience, needed support on a Phase III NDA submission. Having successfully helped them with permanent hires, we were contacted by the Global VP Programming & Biostatistics to deliver 6 contractors urgently.

The challenge

They needed a high volume of support within a tight timeline and required phase III submission experience in rare diseases. They struggled to attract the right talent and with getting commitment from candidates.

The solution

We noticed that a substantial number of highly qualified candidates were receptive to the concept of working as contractors in the UK. As our partner is headquartered in Belgium and initially lacked a UK entity, this posed challenges for candidate payroll. We successfully provided a contracting and payroll solution, allowing them to access the extensive pool of highly qualified candidates in the UK.

The outcome

• We helped our partner hire a Lead SAS Programmer, 2 Study SAS Programmers, a Lead Statistician and 2 Study Statisticians with a tight deadline

• From the 6 offers that were made, 100% were accepted

• 12 days turnaround from vacancies to offer accepted

• Off the back of this project, we have since been asked to help our partner build out other teams within the company.
